December All Ready??
Well we will start with Thanksgiving. We had Thanksgiving with my family this year. I think this was the smallest gathering with my family ever. We went to Aunt Pam's and Uncle Phils. We had a good time playing games and eating some really good food. After we were all pooped out with games we went to my parents house to watch the movie Four Christmas's. After that was over we headed home since I needed to work early in the morning on Black Friday. Josh and the girls were great. They got out all the Christmas decorations and decorated the house and the tree in the living room. It was so nice to come home and have everything done for me!! We are able to have all three of our trees up this year. We are all excited about that. The girls get to have one in the play room that is a fun color fiber optic tree. We were able to go and get some decorations for the tree in the living room. So that one is mommy's pretty tree. And the real tree downstairs is the kids tree with the fun un matching ornaments on it. I thought with Sparkles having the real tree downstairs where she refuses to go would be best for her and the tree. On Sunday we went with Josh's family to pick out our real tree. This is a fun tradition that started a few years ago. We go and pick out the tree then go home and decorate it while listening to Christmas music! We had a blast and our house smell great!

Wow how time flies!!

I didn't realize it had been this long since I have updated. So here is what has been going on.
Jaycee finished soccer not wanting to play anymore. So we put her in gymnastics and she absolutely loves it. She is all ready really good. On her first day her coach was really impressed with her and said that she won't be in the first level for very long! I love going to watch her and am so amazed and proud of her. She does really well on the balance beam. They do bunny hops on them. They have foam blocks that they jump over. Well the coach has Jaycee jumping over 2 instead of 1 like everyone else. She did really well this Saturday, she did 4 in a row before falling off. She is really loving school and is learning how to read. She is doing really well with that. I am very proud of her. She is going through a rough stage right now though. She is arguing everything! I sure hope she gets through this very soon because I would really love to have a 7 year old!
Jordyn is still Jordyn. The Diaper Fairy came to our house on November 1st as promised. Yeah that didn't go over very well. That morning it took us until about 10 am to get the diaper off of her from the night before. Josh had to pin her down to get it off. She still doesn't want anything to do with going potty in the big potty. I took her to the store to pick out whatever toy she wanted and that would be her potty toy that she could only play with on the potty. She was excited about that at the store. Then when we came home she wanted to play with it so I told her we needed to go sit on the potty. Well that turned in to her usual kick and scream at the top of her lungs while sitting on the potty. She ususally would pee her pants right before she had to sit down. So by Wednesday afternoon I had to ask the Diaper Fairy to bring us back the diapers because Jordyn wasn't really ready. So hopefully soon she will be ready. I really don't want a child going to primary in a diaper!! And I definately don't want a 4 year old in diapers!!
Halloween was fun as usual. Jaycee was Cinderella and Jordyn was an Ice Princess. She sure did fit that part! I decided it was because she knew the Diaper Fairy was coming. We did things a little differently this year because Halloween was on Saturday. Friday the 30th we went to my mom's work to trick or treat like we do every year. But this year we had David, Nora, Cecily and Brayden. So that was fun trying to keep up with that many kids and keep them all happy! We didn't go to my parents house after this year since it was a day early. Josh and I went on a much needed date. We haven't been very good at being able to do that lately. So then on Halloween we had Jaycee's 6th birthday party in the afternoon. That was really fun. She had about 9 friends come. We played pin the crown on the princess and we made our very own crowns and wands. After that we got the kids ready to go trick or treating at my parents house. There was a home game for Utah so Josh wasn't there with us for the first time. I gave my tickets to Gene and Christy since I couldn't leave the kids on Halloween.
I don't remember if I posted that Josh and I were doing the P90X workout. We are almost finished with it. We only have 2 weeks left. We haven't had the results that we had hoped for. But we didn't really change our eating habits that much. I think if we would have followed the nutrition guide that comes with it we would have had amazing results. But we are happy with where we are so far. We still have lost weight and a lot of inches. The inches is what we care about the most. All of our pants are loose on us and that makes us happy. Maybe when we are done we will post a pic of us. (maybe) I went on a business trip to Redondo Beach CA for 8 days. It was so nice. I worked about 10-12 hour days but because I didn't have kids to take care of when I was finished with work it really didn't seem like I was working that long. I was in bed by 8 every night. That was awesome!! I am so greatful for Josh supporting me to do that. I know it was really hard on him. He had to get up early and get the kids ready and Jaycee to school. I am very proud of him for doing the girls hair everyday!! When I got home their hair looked pretty good for a daddy job!! I am sure that Josh was very happy for me to come home!!
Well I think that is about it for now.

Josh!
So I forgot to post last week that Josh had another scan and we met with his Dr. on Thursday and he is still cancer free!! So we can rest easy for another 6 months until we do it all over again. Hopefully we will continue to have the same results.
Also Josh and I started the P90X workout. We will see what happens with that. Maybe at the end we will post some pics of the results! Wish us luck, it is kicking our butts!!

Jaycee's first day of school

I can't believe that Jaycee started school today. I can't believe how fast time flew. I swear I just had her!! I am very proud of myself. I made it through with out crying. I almost did when we left the house to head up to the school but I didn't. I am so proud of her. She is such a smart girl. She was so excited to start, she was counting down the days and it is finally here. I contemplated posting something she said the other day and I finally decided that I would. I think it is hilarious but some might not. So Jaycee has only ever sworn 1 time and it was the "D" word. Nothing too terrible. Then we were leaving a restaurant the other night and Jaycee was playing her favorite rhyming game. I always warn her that she needs to be careful when she does this because she is going to say a naughty word. Well she finally did it. She was rhyming and out came the "F" bomb! I thought if I just ignored it she wouldn't say it again. Well a minute later she said it again and then again and yet again. Finally Josh told her to stop saying that word because it was a naughty word. Jaycee then said "I didn't say the potty word, Jordyn is the one that said "butt" I just said "F". I lost it at that point laughing because she was so serious about her not saying the bad word!!! I love her!! She now knows that the word she said is a naughty word. Jaycee also started playing soccer. She had her first game on Sat. that I unfortunately missed, but Josh recorded it for me. She is a little afraid of the ball and getting in the middle of the pack that are trying to kick it. But she says that soccer is sooo much fun. So hopefully Josh can work with her a little so she will at least not be afraid of the ball.

Our life as we know it!
So we are pretty boring lately but what has been happening in the life of the Phifers'. Well Jaycee got a new bedroom set. She has the one that Josh and I used when we were first married. She calls it her Queen room because she has a queen size bed. Last night when I got home from being out with my friends I went into Jaycee's room to give her a kiss goodnight and she was laying on the floor with her pillow. So I asked her why she was sleeping on the floor and she told me it was because her bed was too soft. She liked her other one better because it was harder. She is so funny. She doesn't like change very well. After we moved into the house she told me she liked our condo better because her room was painted and this one isn't. I am going to have fun with her!! She still says some of the funniest things. We went to Kohls the other night and Jordyn asked what we were going to do at the store and Jaycee replied "uh shop"! I was so glad that she knew what we were going to do there!
Jordyn is still Jordyn. I haven't found anyone that will take her until she grows out of this stage she is in!! Her bedroom door doesn't close anymore because she has slammed it too many times. I am so looking forward to her teenage years. She is still covered in scratches from Sparkles, but don't feel bad for her. She tries to put Sparkles in her doll's stroller, she picks her up by her neck, she carries her all over the house, she makes her sit on the couch and if she jumps off she will put her right back and she uses her for a pillow. I don't blame Sparkles one bit for scratching and biting Jordyn. I am trying to work on getting Jordyn to leave her alone. The other day I told Jordyn to put Sparkles down and she said "but mommy she is so cute and I love her". How can I argue with that? She also still wants nothing to do with the potty so I have told her that the Diaper Fairy is going to come on Nov. 1st to take all of her diapers and give them to the babies that really need them. And in place of the diapers she will leave her some big girl panties. So we will see how that goes. I am going to take the week off of work. I just hope my carpet and furniture will survive.
Sparkles is just like Jordyn. I am really glad that we can't have any more kids for a while. I don't think Sparkles or myself would survive it. She has eaten all the corners of my baseboards. She likes to eat and spread all the moss out of the fake tree we have in our living room. We have to keep the shoe basket and all of the garbage cans in the bathrooms up on something so she can't get into them and pull everything out and eat it. She will only eat soft foods. And the big topper for me is when she ripped my patriarcle blessing to shreds!!! She was put in time out for that one so that I could calm down and gather the hundreds of pieces of paper that were all over the living room. She still doesn't sleep in very late. She is up for the day by 6am. But she sure is cute.
Josh had been working really hard lately. I am very proud of him. He has been playing softball this year and really enjoying it. He wasn't able to play at all last year because of Chemo. So it has been really good for him. He is finally able to do all of his honey do's that would have been nice to have done when we first moved in. The house is still a work in progress but I am happy that it is in progress now.
I have been really busy lately with work and I also started taking a zumba class and actually using the eliptical machine that we bought over a year ago. My goal is to lose all the weight I gained through out Josh's chemo treatments. I am off to a good start. I have all ready lost 5lbs. My goal is to try to lose it by my birthday. I know that is a pretty heafty goal but I will try. I still don't have a home for work yet but hopefully I will have one soon.
That's about it with us for now.

What's been going on......

So here is what has been happening lately with the Phifer family. Josh finally convinced me to go camping with him and the girls. We went to somewhere by the Duchene?? river and it had Forks in it too. But if you ask Jaycee she will tell you we went to Strawberry Hills. I don't know where she came up with that name but oh well. Everything was just as I imagined it would be with the exception that Jordyn didn't fall in the fire pit or brake any bones. She did however fall in the river, fortunately it was just on the side on top of the rocks and I was right there to grab her and pull her up. She did fall countless times and has the scratches to prove it. Jaycee is the expert camper, before we left she said "mommy, you might want to bring a short sleeve shirt because it gets kind of hot during the day". Thanks Jaycee it was good that I brought a short sleeve shirt because it did get hot. The first night there though it was freezing. We didn't turn on our heater when we went to bed becuase it was still pretty warm in our tent. By about 3am it was freezing. So Josh tried to turn our heater on and the pilot light wasn't doing anything. I am greatful that the girls were in our tent with us and sleeping other wise I think Josh would have screamed a few choice words and kicked it. So other than that it was fine. I will continue to please him and go camping with him 1x a year for a couple of days. Sorry, we forgot our camera so we don't have any pictures.
So we finally got a puppy. We told the girls that when we got a house we would get a dog and when we bought our house last year I think we had only lived here a couple of weeks and they asked when we were going to get a dog and so we came up with the excuse that we needed to wait until we put in a fence to get one. Well we did the fence last month and we no longer had an excuse. So we bought Sparkles. She is a pure bred Shi-tzu. She is a little stinker and so dang cute. She is a combination of Jaycee and Jordyn so she is meant to be ours. She has been doing really well with pottying outside and this morning I was reading my book and not paying attention to her so after she had all ready gone outside about 10 minutes before she peed a little on the carpet and I am sure it was just to get my attention because she didn't go and sulk like she normally does when she gets in trouble. And dangit she is an early riser just like Jaycee. She has been waking up between 4:30am and 6:00am for the day and wants to play. Needless to say we are pretty tired. Well that about sums it up for now.

Wow has it been a long time!
So I keep thinking that one day life will slow down and I will actually have time to blog and just relax. But it just keeps getting busier. I do hope that it will slow down soon, Jaycee asked me the other day when I was going to have a day off. I unfortunately had to tell her not anytime soon. Work has been really crazy, as most of you know they are closing my branch which has put me working at least 9 hour days and 6 days a week. But it will all come to and end soon. We will be closing our doors on May 23rd. Then I will start my new adventure at another branch. I hope that they will tell me before the 23rd where that might be. Apparently they don't think it is very important for me to know that information. Oh well.
Jaycee is growing up, she has now lost her second tooth. She wanted to get the Toothfairy's autograph. That was fun to try to figure how to do it without it looking like my hand writing. She is so funny. It has been so long since I have posted I don't remember if I have said that we registered her for kindergarten. I can't believe that she is starting school soon. I don't think she should be that old. Now we just have to figure out who can or will watch her after school now. I haven't told her that she won't be going to Lesia's anymore. She will be very sad. She has a "boyfriend" there named Will. He drew a picture of the two of them holding hands and wrote on it "Jaycee, you are my best friend". How sad if she won't be able to see him anymore. I guess she will have to move on. She has also decided that she wants to grow her bangs out. She asked me how long it will take for them to be as long as the rest of her hair. I laughed and told her that it will take as long as it has for her to grow it that long. She wasn't too happy about that. I thought she would give up by now but she is hanging in there. We put Jaycee in dance in January and she had her first recital on Jordyn's birthday. She did a really good job. I will post pictures later. I haven't uploaded them yet.
Jordyn is still a little stinker. She turned 3 on May 7th. She still has no interest in going potty in the big potty and wearing big girl panties. I really hope that she gets interested soon. I would really like to stop buying diapers. I have been buying them for 5 years now. It is time to give them up!! I have tried everything to get her interested and nothing works. We did have a talk and she said that she will let me know when she is ready. I just hope it is sooner rather than later. She is still a really funny girl. Josh and I painted our house a couple of weeks ago and I had some paint on my shirt and Jordyn asked me why I had dog poop on my sleeve. I am glad she thinks I am clean! We went to one of Josh's softball games last night and she was freaking out because there were ants all over. She wanted me to kill them all. She was so scared of them. I am in for a long summer with her if she is scared of ants!!
We did finally take the girls to Disneyland. It was awesome. We didn't tell the girls we were going. We had driven down to St. George for Josh's cousins baby blessing. When we left the girls thought we were headed home, thank heavens they don't know direction. When we finally got to our hotel I told the girls that we were lost and needed to stay at the hotel for the night. They were a little sad because they wanted to go to my parents when we got home. and they weren't going to Lesia's the next day. When we woke up we said we were going to go to breakfast. Thank heavens they can't read either. We went to Disneyland and stood in line and got our tickets and then went in the park. When we were in Jaycee pointed out some characters so I asked her if she knew where she was. She didn't know so I pointed out a few more things and then asked her if she knew now. She thought about it for a minute and then got a really big grin on her face and said "Disneyland"? She was so happy. Jordyn didn't want anything to do with the characters the first day. But after that she loved them. I will have to post pictures later too.

Not a whole lot is going on.....
So not much has happened since the last time. The girls are still really funny and naughty. Jaycee is growing up, hanging out with her friends. She loves it when she is home during the week so she can go to her friends houses and play all day. Jordyn is the hoot of the family right now, when she isn't being a naughty 2 year old. She is funny Josh was passing a kidney stone last week and we told her we needed to go home to take care of daddy. We were on our way home and she told me that we needed to get daddy away from the kitty stones. Then she told me we needed to get daddy in our car. I told her that he was at home so we didn't need to pick him up. She told me that he wasn't home he was at the kitty stones. Then when we turned into our neighborhood she cried out that she wanted to rescue daddy!! I loved it!! Jordyn wants nothing to do with the potty, she is just fine wearing diapers. We have tried everything to get her interested. She always wants to go out and play with Jaycee and her friends so I told her that she could once she was potty trained and she said no. Then she told me she wanted her ears pierced so I told her she could once she is potty trained and she told me no. Then she told Josh that she wanted to take dance like Jaycee. Josh told her she could once she is potty trained and she said no. Then on Sunday we were at Josh's dads house for his birthday dinner. The adults were sitting at the dinner table chatting when Jordyn came up to me and told me to change her diaper because she was poopy. So I asked her if she wanted to use the potty and she said "apparently not"!!! I don't know where she got that from (me)!!! So that is about all that is going on with us right now. Life is crazy busy with work and kids, and we love it!!

What a crazy few months!

Okay so now that the holidays and birthdays are over I will try to be better. I know I say that all the time but this time I really mean it. :) So I took the girls to Sacramento a few weeks ago for their cousin Hailey's baptism. It was so much fun. We left on Sunday and drove all day and got to Sacramento late that night. We had to stop about every hour so Jaycee could go potty and Jordyn could get out of the car and run. I think that was the first road trip I have ever been on and never felt the need to potty!! Thanks Jace!!! We went with my parents and my grandpa Simmons. We took all the kids to the Jelly Belly Factory. That was a lot of fun. It was way busy. We just happened to pick the busiest day of the year for them. Isn't that the luck. The next day was Hailey's baptism so we just relaxed all day long. The next day we left for home. One of these days we will stay out there more than a few days. But we had to get home so that I could go to the Sugar Bowl with Josh the next day. We stayed in Baton Rouge instead of New Orleans. It was so much fun. I am so glad that Utah won. It made the trip worth it. I ended up getting sick on the day of the game and actually had a fever during it. But aside from that I still had a ton of fun at the game. I just had to take breaks from standing and cheering. Before the game we went and walked around Bourbon St. That is one crazy place. The day after the game we went to the LSU campus. That is a really cool campus. All of the buildings are really old and have awsome architecture. I can't believe how big their football stadium is. I think ours could fit on the field of theirs. Anyway... we had tons of fun and hope to be able to do it again. Oh and Jaycee lost her first tooth!! She is growing up!! :( Here are some pics of the week.
